New women SSP chandigarh : Nilambari Vijay Jagdale is new Chandigarh SSP. A 2008-batch Punjab-cadre IPS officer, Jagdale Nilambari Vijay, appointed as new Chandigarh SSP. The Appointment Committee for Cabinet has approved her name.

Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator V P Singh Badnore recommended her name to the Union Home Ministry for the SSP’s post soon after receiving a panel of three officers from the Punjab government.
Sources said that the fresh panel received by the UT Administration, included the names of Nilambari, S. Bhoopati, a 2007 batch IPS officer and Naveen Singla, a 2009 batch IPS officer.
While Nilambari Jagdale is presently posted as the SSP of Ropar, Bhoopati is serving as the SSP of Patiala and Singla is the SSP of Bathinda.
However, Inderbir’s name was dropped from the panel on the orders of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh soon after his name figured in an extortion racket in Sangrur.
The post of the SSP in Chandigarh has been lying vacant after Sukhchain Singh Gill, a 2003-batch IPS officer, was repatriated to Punjab in December last year. Eish Singhal is presently officiating as the SSP of Chandigarh.
So, After Kiran Bedi who had been in Chandigarh for 43 days and changed the law and order of the city, now it is interesting to see what happens when Dabang officer like Nilambari will take charge as SSP of city beautiful.New women SSP Chandigarh
Basically Nilambari Vijay Jagdale belongs to Maharashtra and join as IPS in 2008. She also served in Ludhiana for 3 years as ADCP where she received a title of Dabang Lady officer from city people.
Her personality is like a Dabang officer. She always performed her duty with honesty and did lot of work for the welfare of cities wherever she had been posted.
