Chandigarh: Come September 26, another flight to connect Chandigarh with Dubai, directly after successful International debut by Air India Express to fly to Sharjah from Chandigarh International Airport. With IndiGo all set to take off to Dubai at 4:15 pm, the Chandigarh finally will get place on International map.
The IndiGo airlines will start international operations to Dubai on September 26 as Airbus A-320 will take off with 165 odd passengers at 4:15 pm from Chandigarh International Airport. The return fare as showing on the indigo official website is Rs 20,572. The airliner has single economy class and offers meals during the flight.
Air India is also poised to connect city directly with South East Asian countries within this year. Air India is likely to fly directly to Singapore by December 15. Soon other airlines are also likely to jump in the arena of introducing the flights to other countries from Chandigarh.
Mohali Industry Association president Sanjeev Vashisht said, “Our efforts have borne fruit as most awaited international flights have started operations from Mohali International Airport. We have major demand for flights connecting Canada, Australia and USA.”
