The Chandigarh police have arrested Bablu, a resident of village Burail Chandigarh for murdering a 48-year-old woman in Sector-45-A. The woman has been identified as Meenu, a resident of 1310 Village Burail Chandigarh.
As per details, on March 28, at about 7.45 am information was received from Police Control Room that dead body of the lady is lying near house number 177-B Sector-45-A Chandigarh.
Upon receiving this information Inspector Baldev Kumar, Station House Officer(SHO) Police Station-34 Chandigarh along with in-charge Police Post Burail and other police officials reacted promptly and reached on the spot.
On inspection of the spot, it was found that the dead body of Meenu was lying on the floor in bloodied condition. The deceased body was immediately shifted to the mortuary at GMCH-32 Chandigarh.
The spot was properly preserved and signs of a scuffle and blood stains and victim jewellery found lying on spot. The FSL team also visited the spot. The photography and videography of the spot were also done.
Later in this regard, a case under section 302 IPC Police Station-34 Chandigarh has been registered at Police Station-34 Chandigarh.
During the investigation, the accused confessed that he had a physical relationship with the victim for the last four years. Around six months back, accused had gone to victim house to meet her, but her husband Shamsher Singh had thrown him out. The accused wanted to take revenge of his insult, so on March 27 he allured victim to come out with him took her to an under-renovation house.
After reaching the terrace, he had a scuffle with the victim and in the scuffle, victim’s nose pin and earring fell down on the spot. The accused is in Police custody at Police Station-34 Chandigarh, he will be produced in court on March 29.
