Chandigarh: Municipal Corporations enforcement wing will toe away vehicles found violating no-parking zonefrom today onwards declared MC Commissioner Baldeo Purushartha on Wednesday.He said that MC enforcement wing will start toeing away those vehicles which are found parked either on road or on berms.
“People hesitate in paying meagre Rs 5 for parking and instead find alternate places to park their vehicles,”said Purushartha .Purushartha said, “It has been observed that people are habitual of parking vehicles, two or four wheelers out of parking lots either on roads or berms. This is major cause for the failure of multilevel parking.
Such violation from today onwards will not be spared and enforcement wing C will toe away the vehicles and will only be released after paying the prescribed fine.” The penalty for four wheelers found wrongly parked is Rs 3500 whereas for two wheelers it is Rs 1000 and for heavy vehicle it is Rs 7000, said Purushartha.He also added that enforcement wing team will go around the Sector 17 market and will pick up all such vehicles found parked either on road or berms.
