Chandigarh: The premier health institute PGI has been rocked by a racket involving fake recruitments. A conman presenting himself to be doctor at PGI had been duping people by promising them job opportunities.
The hospital administration on Thursday issued a press statement stating, raudulent appointment letters with PGIMER logo and address are being issued to fool and take money from innocent people.
The statement further read, “The appeal has been issued by the PGIMER after a woman from Mansa district came to “join” the institute.”
Meanwhile, when Daily Post reporter contacted the conman pretending to be an aspiring candidate, the accused addressed himself as Dr Rahul Sharma from HR Department.
No FIR lodged against the accused
PGIMER continues to provide an escape route for defaulters as yet again the institute has not registered a FIR yet. Commenting on if the hospital has lodged a FIR, Manju Wadwalkar, Public Relations Officer & Official Spokesperson, PGIMER said,” We have sent the information to related department about police I don’t know much.”
Surprisingly, this is not the first time that such d racket has surfaced at PGI. Similar fake recruitments were published in a newspaper at Amritsar.
