Chandigarh: UT Administrator V P Singh Badnore on Wednesday directed Municipal Corporation to concentrate on removing the chronic problems like parking and garbage from city. Badnore said this while reviewing the presentation made by MC Commissioner Baldeo Purushartha for the on-going developmental projects with MC.
He said, “I have seen the presentation on the developmental projects in pipeline with the MC. It was very good presentation and it is good to know that MC is on way to give better public-oriented projects to the city.”
The presentation was made by MC Commissioner Baldeo Purushartha at UT Secretariat at the recently renovated office of the UT Administrator. Purushratha said, “We have given a presentation to UT Administrator about the ongoing developmental projects with MC. We have appraised him about the Smart Parking project, Plastic to Fuel project and Mechanised Sweeping project. He was very much satisfied with the on-going projects and asked to expedite the works.”
On the other hand, nominated councillor Surinder Bahga has shot a letter to Adviser seeking intervention of the UT Administration regarding various municipal issues. In his letter, Bahga has urged the Adviser to examine all the mentioned points and give suitable instructions to expedite them.
Bahga said, that the Municipal Corporation is planning to set up Plastic to Oil Plant at Daddumajra in Chandigarh. For which Administration’s support is needed. The condition of signage in city is very poor. Existing signage of
heritage value should be restored to its original glory. New signage is needed in new sectors, villages and colonies.
