Chandigarh: “Proponent of Sahaj Marg Yoga a meditational form of Yoga helps you unite with the God” said Rajgopalan, a renowned Guru of the Sahaj Marg Yoga. He was at Panjab University to deliver a seminar on the ‘Understanding and Practicing Meditation, its importance in daily life’.
Guru not only provided the theoretical knowledge of meditation but also conducted a session of mediation with the professors and students present during the occasion. Sahaj Marg mediational yoga is unique in the sense that the teacher transmits energy into his disciple. “The teacher who by years of practice knows to tap the energy of universe, transmits his energy to his student thus helps him to reach a stage of perfection” said Rajagopalan. He also added that there are various stages in which your consciousness expands before reaching the ultimate stage.
He also advised the present attendees to conduct at least three sessions under each other’s guidance before performing it at their private residence. Answering a question the guru said that there is nothing like good or bad. “What matters is how the human feels. The question is it wrong or right which only your consciousness can answer that question” said Rajagopalan. Explaining the meaning of wrong and right he said that right is something which expands you and wrong contracts your consciousness.
Sharing his experience Sudhir Baweja, Chairperson of department of Philosophy said that he felt in this form of Yoga that his mind was free to flow anywhere it wants. “In other form of Yoga there is an instructor who guides you and instructs you to follow a given path. But this is not the case here. We can think of anything and ultimately the mind reaches a stage of peace where you body is rejuvenated with a different kind of energy” said Baweja.
