Chandigarh:The wait for the residents’ sector 48 to get the full-fledged hospital equipped with all necessary medical facilities will be over on Friday when Member Parliament Kirron Kher will lay the foundation stone of the upcoming 100-bed hospital in the southern area of Sector 48.
The hospital will be equipped with all facilities, including all department or OPDs like medicine, gynecology, surgery, and pediatrics. There will be 24-hour emergency services to cater to critical patients. Arrangements have been made in such a way that the same hospital can be expanded further.
However, right now, if any causality happens then these area residents have to rush to PGIMR, GMCH-32 Or GMSH-16 which takes them almost half an hour , which sometimes proves fatal for many serious patients.
Right now the sector has two small dispensaries, but the hospital will be providing immediate attention and life support system for the area and its adjoining area residents including Ramdarbar, Maulijagran. The hospital will be benefitting the neighboring cluster.
Notably, the Drawings of the Sector 48 project have been prepared and submitted to the engineering wing and the Chandigarh administration’s has approved the drawings of the newly planned 100-bed hospital.
