St Josep School 44 will clash with Satluj Public School in the final of Satluj Gold Cup Cricket Tournament. The final is scheduled to be held at Satluj Public School, Panchkula.
In the first semi-final powered by all round performance of Anshul Negi and superb batting of Sagar Dahiya, St Joseph got the better of Chandigarh Baptist School. St Joseph batting first scored 182 runs on loss of two wickets in 25 overs. Sagar Dahiya batted throughout the innings to score 82 runs.
On the other side of the wicket after successive loss of two fast wicket he was supported by Anshul Negi (54). In the second inning the blowing attack of St Joseph was too strong to handle. They were all-out in 15th over with Anshul Negi making the greatest damage. He took three wickets for 14 runs on the other end he was supported by Harsh Garg who gave ten runs and got two batsmen out.
In the second game of the day, Satluj Public School defeated St Stephan’s School by a huge margin of 70 runs. Aryan (69) and Aman Kumar forged a partnership that exceled Satluj to 159 four 4 wickets in 25 overs. Chasing the mammoth total the batting line-up of St Stephan’s crumbled under pressure to maintain the required run-rate of over six per over.
