Chandigarh: It was a special day for all the teachers as well as their students and hence a special celebration was also needed. City’s Ward No 2 MC councilor Saurabh Joshi made sure to make this day memorable and arranged for the newly renovated garden of Sector-15 C and D which was inaugurated as the Garden of Shadows by the Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher. Mayor Arun Sood and MC Commissioner B Purushartha were also present on this occasion where later various educationists were felicitated.
Members of the local RWA, Khuda Lahora Residents Society and various market associations of the sector were present at the scene and applauded the efforts of the local councilor who took this wise decision of renovating the garden and giving it a new shape altogether. Joshi said, “I would just call it the right use of resources in the service of city residents. The day this project took off became a memory as it was a special unannounced visit by our Mayor and the residents got a chance to interact personally with him. I am thankful to all authorities who contributed in this project.”
Chief Guest MP Kirron Kher said, “Saurabh Joshi has been an active official of the MC and in my tenure of 28 months, I have seen many welfare works being conducted and fulfilled under his supervision. ”
