The two have been identified as Sabh Deen, a native of Chamba HPand Avilash Kumar, a native of Amritsar.
Chandigarh: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of Chandigarh have arrested two drug peddlers while they were allegedly possessing 10 kilograms of Charas and 1.98 lakh cash amount.
According to an official of NCB, the two have been identified as Sabh Deen, a native of Chamba Himachal Pradesh and Avilash Kumar, a native of Amritsar, Punjab.
The official said that the NCB team had received information that these persons are involved in drug smuggling and bringing Charas from Tissa, District Chamba (HP).
Accordingly NCB team placed a naka near Vallah Mandi, Amritsar (Punjab) and arrested the accused person. The contraband was being consumed by young generation of Amritsar and nearby areas. The NCB team has also recovered HP-01-C-1212 (Alto-White in colour).
Kaustubh Sharma, Zonal Director NCB said to curb the illicit use and trafficking of narcotics drugs in Punjab region, NCB is trying to identify the drug syndicate running in Punjab region, which has connection with the drug smugglers of Himachal Pradesh. This is the 24th seizure by NCB Chandigarh during this year, added the official.
