Chandigarh: Two fresh cases of dengue have been reported in the city on Thursday thus taking the tally to 20 so far. These two cases were confirmed after the weekly test report was received by the department.
Earlier, 18 cases were reported in Government as well as private hospitals.
Meanwhile, the Malaria wing of UT Health Department is also organising various health awareness camps and advocacy workshops.
Various teams have been constituted by the NVBDCP Staff for carrying following field activities including checking of coolers, Anti-larval activities, Anti-adult activities, IEC activities by door to door visits by the staff and distribution of pamphlets and Mega phone announcements for general awareness to the public.
The department had also started preparations for both vector and water-borne diseases. Water stagnation and lack of personal hygiene are the two factors that lead to vector-borne diseases.
