Chandigarh:UT Administration will ensure debit card swipe facility at stalls where visitors are able to pay through debit or credit cards during the Chandigarh Carnival. This was stated by Home Secretary Anurag Aggarwal while announcing about the event at UT guest house on Wednesday. He was accompanied by director tourism and culture Jatinder Yadav.
Anurag Aggarwal said that making organ donation as a mass campaign, UT Administrator V P Singh Badnore directed the UT Administrative officers to hold a mega event on November 27 to launch the campaign.
He said that the decision was taken during the meeting was attended by Adviser Parimal Rai along with Finance Secretary Sarvjit Singh, Home Secretary Anurag Aggarwal, GMCH-32 Director Principal Dr Atul Sachdev and other
Aggarwal said, “We will ensure that the debit card swipe facility is made available either at every stall or at come common place to facilitate the visitors in the wake of cash crunch. We will also hold the organ donation as mass campaign in attachment to carnival so that maximum people come forward and pledge their organs.”
Babu Mann, Himesh Rashamiya to enthral audience at Chandigarh Carnival
The Chandigarh Carnival will be organised on November 25 to 27. The three days extravaganza to showcase performances by famous Punjabi singer cum actor Babbu Mann, Bollywood heartthrobs Himesh Rashamiya and Neeraj Shridhar will give their performances.
Neeraj Shridhar will perform on day one on November 25 and Punjabi Singer Babbu Mann will perform on November 26 and Himesh Reshamiya will perform on the concluding day.
