Chandigarh: UT Administration has received a panel of six PCS officers from Punjab. The Secretary Personnel has forwarded the file to UT Adviser for the approval from the UT Administrator. Punjab has sent a panel of six PCS officers namely Uma Shankar Sharma, Sukhjit Pal Singh, Paramjit Singh, Sanjay Popli, Paramjeet Singh and H S Brar.
UT Secretary (personnel) K K Jindal said, “We have forwarded the panel with recommendations to the UT Adviser for taking the final approval of UT Administrator. We have vacancy of two PCS officers and Administrators decision will be the final.”
Recently three HCS officers from Haryana and two PCS from Punjab have already joined UT Administration. Sources in the administration said that names of Uma Shanker Sharma and Sanjay Popli have been recommended by the Personnel Department.
Sources also said that UT has asked Punjab state to file the names of the IAS probable also at the earliest enabling the UT to appoint a minimum of four IAS officers. Recent transfer and relieving of IAS officers has also brought crunch in the top working brass of the administration.DP
