Panchkula: To make the process of registration of vehicles simpler by providing the public with convenience level at every end, the Transport Department through its project in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) is finally launching its software, “Vahan 4.0”, to get all work of vehicle registration done online at the dealer’s end.
According to the officials of the department, the work related to the same is almost up to date and from February 24 the project will be launched in Panchkula following which registering a vehicle to getting the registration certificate (RC), not even a single visit to the transport office will be required.
Also on February 22 following software upgradation; the E-disha centre at Panchkula will remain closed.
The system will be launched as a pilot project in Panchkula, before being implemented across Haryana.
At present, Delhi is the only state where the system has been implemented on a pilot basis.
