Chandigarh:A meeting of Vivek high School Association (VHS) was held on Tuesday. The association members again discussed that since the school has chosen not to respond to the three emails sent by the association, requesting for an appointment, the association should take a further step by filing complaints with the Education department Estate Office and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
During the meeting, some of the parents suggested that before taking these harsh steps, one more attempt should be made to talk to the school management. At this, one of the parents called up the principal Renu Puri from inside the meeting and requested her to respond to the association’s requests for a meeting.
The principal assured that the school would reply to the association’s email, and invite them to a meeting. Avtar Singh Bhatti was unanimously elected as the president.
Meanwhile, the parents also decided that if the school still fails to respond to the emails sent by the parents association, they would be then moving to court. While, President, Chandigarh Parents Association, Nitin Goyal has expressed hope that good sense will prevail, and the management will withdraw the decision of hiking the fees and restructure the whole fees in consultation with the association.
Notably, earlier also the VHS had sent letters to the school asking them to consult the association before revising the fee. In the sent letter, the parents have written about the school shop and the vendors selected by the management for a supply of books, uniforms and stationery items. Though the association have till now received any reply from the school authorities.
