Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Police have arrested a woman resident of Chandigarh while she was allegedly possessing 26 intoxicant injections without any permit.
A Police official said the accused was arrested during a check post erected at Sector 25 Chandigarh, where 26 injections i.e. 13 injections of pheniramine maleate and 13 injections buprenorphine (drugs) were recovered from his possession without any license or permit.
A police official said that the accused was nabbed during a special check post, laid to curb the crime incidents in the city. At the check post, police officials noticed the accused while she was walking towards the naka. After seeing the naka, she stopped before entering at the naka and then started running towards opposite direction. On suspicion, the police team then caught hold the accused and during the spot checking, police officials found that the accused were carrying illegal injections in her bag which were seized by the police.
Police sources said that the accused was on her way to sell injections when she was arrested at Sector 25.
We are trying to ascertain the links of the accused, however a case has been registered against him under sections 22 NDPS Act, at Police Station Sector 11, Chandigarh.
