Commission agent’s murder turns out to be contract killing
The police on Monday claimed to have solved five-day-old Nabha Monik Jindal murder case. The police have arrest a person and is searching for the another who were behind the murder of Jindal. The cops have lso claimed to recover the motorcycle and the .32 bore revolver used in the crime along with five live cartridges. DIG, Patiala Range, Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill, said that its a case of contract killing. One of the client of Jindal (Commission Agent) hired a contract killer as he owed him nearly Rs 32 lakh. He said that though the person who committed crime was extra careful and tried to dodge the police but the police got the lead from his mobile phone.On scanning the mobile phone of the deceased, police found last call of Sukhwinder Singh, resident of the village Ghanurki. As police interrogated him, the accused broke down spelled the beans. Sukhwinder Singh was a permanent customer of Jindal. As Singh owed Rs 32 lakh, therefore he decided to kill Jindal as the latter and his brother Sonu Jindal used to ask him for the money at regular intervals.Sukhwinder hired a history sheeter criminal Bittu Singh (25) for Rs three lakh and the duo went to the shop a day before to do the recce. Next day, the duo went together on motorcycle and switched off the mobile phone three hours before the crime. As Bittu entered the shop, he found Monik Jindal instead of Sonu Jindal and fired the shot. The revolver used in the crime belonged to Sukhwinder and the duo left pillion after committing the crime. Bittu has four criminal cases pending against him and had also fled from police custody earlier.
