Union Food Processing Industries Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for responding to her request and announcing that the Maharashtra Government would not push for amending the Sri Hazoor Sahib Management Act, 1956 keeping in view the sentiments of the Sikh community on this issue. Fadnavis also assured me that the BJP always stood with and respected the sentiments of the Sikh community, Badal said. Thanking the chief minister for clearing the air, Badal said that the Takht Sachkhand Hazoor Sahib would continue to be managed by its 17-member board as per the old arrangement and the community would decide on appointment of its chairman.
