What was told by Jaitley?
Jaitley said at Tuesday’s press conference that in the World Bank’s Ease Off Business Index, India has risen 30 places to 100th position. India is the most improvised country in this category.Referring to the World Bank’s ‘Doing Business 2018: Reforms to Create Jobs’ report, he said that India is the only country which has made structural reforms. On this report, Narendra Modi tweeted that the increase in multi-sectoral reforms from Team India has resulted in this improved ranking.
What is the reason for improving ranking?
Reports of bounce in rankings, the report were explained to Taxation Reforms, Licensing, Investor Protection, and Bankruptcy Resolutions. India’s position in the list was 130th last year and 142nd before that.
