Shimla: The body of a one of four missing youths from Nawanshahar in Punjab, who were washed away in the flash floods due to cloud burst near Sunni in Shimla district on May 10, was retrieved from Glat nallah on Friday.
The body, which was badly mutilated, was located by his parents who went in search of him by hiring a boat. They recognized it through a tattoo on his body.
The body has been handed over to his parents after postmortem. Two days ago, the body of guide, Narender from Uttarakhand, who too was washed away with the four youths, was found floating in Kol dam reservoir.
There is no trace, however, of the other three missing youths, Saranpreet Singh, Harpreet Singh, Avanjot Singh.
The search operation by the Police, Home Guards with the help of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was called off last week.
