Landran (Mohali): Over 800 people attended the first in the series of Aam Aadmi Party’s ‘Punjab Dialog’, helmed by veteran journalist and now AAP member Kanwar Sandhu, here on Saturday.
Along with Sandhu, AAP leader Ashish Khetan was present on the occasion to answer people queries and connect with those present. AAP leaders Sanjay Chhotepur, Bhagwant Mann were among the other AAP leaders present on the occasion.
In a series of tweets outlining the main points that emerged from the dialog, Ashish Khetan said that the youth of the state expected the AAP to withdraw all bogus cases once it was voted to power. He said that the AAP Government will form a commission to withdraw bogus criminal cases and fix accountability of guilty officers.
He said that the youth also wanted the AAP to decimate the drug chain declaring that the party will jail all drug dealers within three months of coming to power. He said that the AAP would take steps to rehabilitate youth addicted to drugs.
He said that the youth also expected the AAP to improve Government schools on the lines similar to Delhi.
Talking to the media after the event, Sandhu said that the dialog was a big success and the party has come away with some vital points that would help shape up its manifesto.
