New Delhi: Taking the serious note of the Uri attack where 20 Indian army soldiers, the centre government has initiated the idea to provide own AIR Wing for BSF, on Tuesday.
Home minister Rajnath Singh along with BSF DG held a meeting, where they come to conclusion to provide BSF their own AIR wing.
DG said that the meeting regarding AIR wing has been held following the reports of Madhukar Gupta Committee.
AIR wing would help BSF to vigil offenders across the border line.
According to the information, some part of BSF Air wing is being controlled by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India , on the other side helicopters like MI-17, V-5 are being controlled by Air Force.
The decision is going to help a lot in the terrorism spreaded these days on India-Pakistan Border.
