Thiruvananthapuram: The 84th anniversary of Indian Air Force was celebrated with pride and solemnity at Southern Air Command at nearby Akkulam and all its establishments.
In the context of the prevailing situation in the country, Air Marshal S Neelakantan, Air Officer Commanding-in-chief Southern Air Command, laid stress on security aspects to preserve the expensive assets, both equipment and human.
The Air Marshal also stressed on overcoming various challenges faced by the IAF while undergoing capability enhancement with modernisation and new acquisitions and complimented all personnel for their diligence and professionalism towards combat preparedness of the command.
He also administered an Oath to all IAF personnel of Southern Air Command during the ceremonial function. PTI
