Chandigarh: Life is a journey and we are all trying incessantly to achieve our aims professing for our goals. I as a young child lived and walked through all terrains gaining experiences and that is what translated into a way untrodden for me. I remember the words of Aldous Huxley when he says "It’s dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly.
Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you’re feeling deeply. Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them.” I have been slow and I have been thoughtful and so is life giving us something to ponder over every moment. We see, we observe but we delude ourselves if we do not ponder. Every new day we just begin by saying the journey has just begun and Miles to go before I sleep.
Robert Frost in the same poem says” The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep.” Is the loveliness we come across each day an attraction to our goal, adding charm to our journey or just a distraction taking us away from our cherished aim. He does not want to stop and nor can we as stagnation in life is death.
It is the diversity in life that adds to our charm every day. We get engrossed in new dreams every day and end up moving in a certain direction not knowing where we are going to reach but we always remember that a way leads up to another one and ultimately gives us the most valuable experience for life. When we do not have right conditions for making our journey called life and moving on foot is the only option left words of Steve Wright reflect in my mind where he says everywhere is within walking distance if you have the time.
More intelligence less hard work is success and similarly average intelligence and more hard work is also success. The hare can make the distance but so can the tortoise. I am not against rush of energy but it is the manner, the way the purpose that matters. Initiative at all levels and all times for the good of all stands important. True is Tennyson when he says Death closes all; but something ere the end, Some work of noble note, may yet be done. We have to accept the fact that time is a great leveler. The greatest of masters, the kings, philosophers, saints and seers all spent their time, left their impact. Contented am I and so are you. We all talk of contentment but how many of us really are or who all have been able to achieve. Something leads us to digress from our path of peace which comes with slow growth. We all need to know and understand though much is taken, much abides. And where to stop the journey? Is there any end? I must say here come, my friends, ‘Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
