UP Board 5.23 lakh students have failed in Hindi in the hub of Hindi. Uttar Pradesh is considered hub of hindi language but millions of children failed in the subject in board examination. In the year 2017, 5.23 lakh students failed in hindi examination who appeared in board exam, this figure is 20 per cent of the total students who appeared in the examination. Such a large number of students have not been able to pass Hindi paper, it has become a matter of concern.In 2017, 29 lakh students from the UP were appeared in the Hindi examination of 10th standard, out of which 23.5 lakh students passed and 20 percent failed from them failed. However, in terms of pass percentage, the number of students passing in English and Hindi subjects in Tenth is almost equal. 81.28 percent of the students passed the examination of Hindi and the percentage of those passing the English paper was 81.46 percent.UP Secondary Education Teachers Association, State Secretary RP Mishra said, ” the failure of 5.23 lakh students in Hindi paper is a big matter of concern.” In UP board, students who fail in Hindi are not promoted to the next class.In the year 2012, 35 lakh students had appeared in Hindi examination, out of which 3 lakh students were unable to pass. At the same time, only 40 percent of the students got more than 50 percent marks in that year. In the year 2011, about 4.5 lakh students from 33 lakh students had not failed in the examination. A group of teachers said that Hindi is mother language, so students do not pay much attention to it. At the same time, some teachers said that in 2011, the pass percentage has decreased since the beginning of the CCE system in Class X.
