Fitness consultant at CT Group of Institutions, Balraj won the X4 season of Roadies
Jalandhar: In a first, a turbaned youth from Jalandhar Balraj Singh Khehra created history by winning the X4 season of MTV Roadies. Originally hailing from Khadur Sahib in Tarn Taran district, he had rollercoaster ride in this reality show. He was voted out of the show by fellow contestants but, it was viewer’s demand that put him back on the show on Wild Card Entry.
Balraj didn’t take this opportunity otherwise, but proved himself again by winning the re-entry task and made his place in the show to win the show.
Interacting with the media, Balraj said, “The win of a a turbaned Sikh ‘Sardar’ in Roadies X4 has created a history. I owe my win to the viewers, whose love and support made me re-enter the show. Even after my first win in Mr. Punjab, I got thunderous response and ample appreciation. This motivated me to do something of viewer’s interest and I went for Roadies audition. I was lucky enough to get selected and here I am the winner of the show.”
A fitness consultant at CT Group of Institutions, Balraj won PTC Mr. Punjab 2014, a reality show competition. He called himself as Fitness freak, “I am into fitness, I love being fit and healthy. As this not only makes our body and mind sound but gives us good looks.” Balraj was fond of Fitness, Fashion, Travelling, Reading, Dancing & public work.
Sharing his Punjabi roots story, he said, “I owe a lot to Punjabiyat, our traditions and humbleness has always helped me to get the love and appreciation from others. My behavioral etiquettes were responded well and appreciated too.”
Heartthrob, Balraj was also crazy about wearing traditional attire, Kurta pajama & Turbans. Sharing his future plans, he said, “I want to be a successful actor. But being on the grounds, I want to help more people through my smile foundation…!”
Gaurav Khanna (Head, Public Relations, CT Group of Institutions) said that Balraj has also showcased the twisted & positive side of Punjab which is drug-free and healthy with healthy body and sound mind in the show. “No doubt, everybody was talking about Punjab being drug ridden, films were being made and articles were being written but at the same time this was only the one side of the coin. The other side highlights the healthy and wealthy Punjab. We might talk about Punjabi youth getting addicted to drugs but there were others like Balraj, who were making Punjab name at the national and international level too”, he said.
