Los Angeles: Actors Christopher Walken and Robert De Niro are reuniting on the big screen to star in the adaptation of children’s book “The War with Grandpa.” The comedy will be directed by Alvin and the Chipmunks’ Tim Hill and will start shooting soon.
The film will be based on the book of the same name by Robert Kimmel Smith, about a boy who gives up his room for his grandpa and then sets up a series of pranks to get him out.
The actors will play best friends in the film.
American Pie’s Eugene Levy will also appear in the film, according to Deadline.
Walken and De Niro first acted together in 1978’s The Deer Hunter, which picked up an Academy Award for Best Picture and Supporting Actor for Walken. They also starred in 1992’s Mistress and and 2012’s Stand Up Guys.
