She is fit and athletic, and she owes it to sticking to a regular fitness routine.
In Chandigarh for an event, actress Kangana Ranaut shares, “Being in the glamorous industry, it is imperative to be fit. While I exercise regularly, I also follow a strict diet plan. I eat healthy food and never skip meals.”
Encouraging others to be fit, she suggests, “One should follow a fitness regime and share their fitness stories, so that others can also be encouraged to take up fitness.”
The 30-year-old has an old association with the City Beautiful. “Chandigarh is a second home to me. It is always a pleasure to be back to the city, where I have spent some of the most beautiful days of my life,” she says.
Reminiscing the old days, she adds, “Sector 17 was one of my favourite places to hang around with my friends during my school days… We used to do all our shopping and birthday celebrations here.”
Of course, the city has changed over the years, but Kangana is glad that it is still serene and clean. “This is what I miss the most in Mumbai,” she says.
But she is sure that her association with Chandigarh is never going to end. “Whenever I go to my home in Himachal Pradesh, I cross the city, and sometimes even make it a point to stop over.”
What is it about the city that she likes and most, we ask? “The roundabouts,” she quips, adding, “They are beautifully landscaped and very well-maintained.”
On the work front, Kangana is awaiting the release of her film Rangoon, which also stars actors Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
Open to doing good films, the actress wouldn’t mind venturing into Punjabi cinema if good scripts come her way. “Why not? All that matters to me is good content, irrespective of the genre or language,” she says on a parting note.
