“I don’t like listening my own songs, watching my own movies”, said the versatile singer-actor of Punjabi Entertainment Industry whose songs have received not just national but international acclaim as well, Babbu Mann. He is back to entertain his fans as an actor in ‘Banjara – The Truck Driver’ releasing on 7th December. When asked about his gap of around four years in Pollywood Entertainment Industry, he stated that he was working in his own studio, as singing is also his priority. He also said that his upcoming project will surely be different and also he will be coming with a music album very soon. Babbu Mann, without naming any singer, stated, “I don’t think fake likes on social matters when it comes to describe your fan following. When I perform in my live shows, the crowd itself speaks that how much they love me. Even if I don’t request my supporters to watch my upcoming movie, I am sure that they will watch it on the very first day.” Commenting on the issue of drugs menace, Mann said that politicians and media propagate the issue of drugs which attract the youngsters and new generation. He suggested that issue should be solved rather than highlighted. He added that instead of drugs we should promote sports and other activities for good health and betterment of youngsters. Talking about the role, Babbu Maan said, “In this film I am playing triple role of son, the grandson and the grandfather. The film will highlight eras of 1947, 1984 and 2018 showing love interests of three generations in their younger days. Babbu’s screen names in the film are Harnek Singh (1947), Nachhatar Singh (1984) and Binder Singh (2018).” Shradha Arya, who was accompanied by Babbu Mann while promoting their upcoming movie, revealed, “As Punjabi is not my first language, it was a bit difficult for me to speak Punjabi but instead of pressurizing to work on my language, the team advices me to work on my facial expressions. Otherwise the experience of working with a legend like Babbu Mann is very meaning for me.” She further added, “I have gained 5 kgs during the movie because whenever I got time, I used to eat and repeat and in case if I do something else, Babbu Mann brings food for me.” The film is being made under the banners of Rana Ahluwalia Productions Maan Films, American System Motion Pictures, its Producers are Rana Ahulwalia, Babu Singh Maan and Harjit Mander and is being presented by Ohri Productions and is being distributed worldwide by Ohri Productions.
