The officials of the forest department visited four places in NCR to check out the feasibility for the setting up of safari.

The people across the state would drive their own vehicles or ride in the first safari park to observe freely roaming animals as on the line of Raipur safari park of Chattisgarh, the state forest department has come up with a plan to set up first safari park and the officials have visited the sites pertaining to the same. With a prime objective to promote tourism in the state, it has been planned leading to increase the animal habitat in the state. The state has witnessed spurt in the population of leopards in the state in last five years. It will have wild animals such as lions, leopards and tigers moving freely in natural surrounding. According to the planning, an eco-friendly vehicle will take the visitors around to have the enchanting glimpse of wild life and the beauty of nature. It is pertinent to mention that Raipur safari has been stretched over an area nearly 1000 acre. It is expected to stretch over an area of about 250 acre in the starting.The setting of a safari park will also promote tourism.
The officials of the department have submitted a proposal to the state government recommending a study for the same.”I have visited few of places with an idea to set up a safari in the state and a proposal has been sent to the government pertaining to the same” said PCCF, Anil Hooda. The department is mulling over the setting of this, he added. The final approval is dependent upon certain factors such as temperature and availability of water in the concerned area. Along with these, distance of this area from National and state highways will play the crucial role in setting up of the safari. The prime focus will be on promoting tourism in Haryana. All the parameters will be looked at closely before project gets started so above factors are of utmost importance regarding the establishment of safari. At initial state, the department has come up with the list of four places where the safari has to be set up including Masani of Rewari, Basirpur forest, Bhondsi and Surajkaund of Gurugram. These places have been placed on the top as all fall under National Capital Region (NCR) and are quite adjoining to the National Capital. If any of the above area gets the final approval for setting of safari, then it will be an eye candy for the tourist coming from Delhi, Gurugram and Noida aswell. Developing safari in the backyard of Delhi will help tourists to experience the amazing world of wild animals so the department has chosen above areas
