Chandigarh: A 3-day yoga training camp, in the run-up to ‘International Yoga Day’ will be organised at Parade Ground, Sector 5, Panchkula from June 12 to 14 from 5 am and 7 am daily. While giving this information here on Friday, an official spokesman said that Haryana Governor, Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki would inaugurate the training camp in the presence of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij on June 12.
He said that Chief Minister would preside over the closing ceremony on June 14. He said that besides the Chief Minister and ministers, MLAs, senior officers of the state government would also undergo training at this camp where the Yoga Guru Ramdev, the brand ambassador of Yoga and Ayurveda in Haryana, would impart training. He said that Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, members of Bar Association, Members of Parliament and media persons have also been invited to attend the camp.
He said that the national programme of International Yoga Day on June 21 would be organised in Chandigarh and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be the chief guest. The state government has got yoga training imparted to staff of Police and Ayush Departments, Yoga Instructors and PTIs of Education Department, school and college students, panches, sarpanches and other elected representatives and representatives of NGOs and other social organizations with the help of Patanjali Yog Peeth.
