Chief Spokesperson of BJP, Rajeev Bindal on Wednesday said the Congress ministers were baffled over the BJP’s move to bring out a charge sheet against corruption in Congress government.
Bindal referred to the outburst of Urban Development minister, Sudhir Sharma and Ayurveda minister, Karan Singh on BJP allegations of nepotism in government jobs during the Congress tenure and said, “the BJP will certainly give documentary proof with the charge sheet. At that time, the ministers should stick to their stand of getting it probed.”
Bindal, who is also former minister and MLA from Nahan, claimed BJP’s allegations of irregularities in recruitments during the Congress regime were true. “If they are not true, the government must tell why the issue of recruitment of bus conductors was pending in the court?
Why the bank examinations were to be conducted by the Education Board, not the agency authorised to do it? What are the reasons that the government is being asked to destroy the record of recruitments in the Cooperative Bank? No recruitment under present Congress regime in HP is without controversy,” Bindal questioned.
The BJP leader said before targeting leader of the opposition, Prem Kumar Dhumal, the ministers must check the records that whether there was any recommendation for job on chits from their office or not.
“The BJP has got solid proofs of irregularities. But it is a tradition in the Virbhadra government that inquiries are generally not conducted into any irregularity. If at all an inquiry is ordered, the Chief Minister is quick at giving clean chit, before the inquiry report comes,” Bindal said.
