SHIMLA: Former BJP Chief Minister and leader of opposition Prem Kumar Dhumal on Wednesday met national BJP chief Amit Shah in Delhi and congratulated him over party’s victory in Assam and increasing base in West Bengal and Kerala under his leadership. Dhumal and Shah discussed the political scenario in Himachal Pradesh, the efforts to strengthen the party and the challenges before BJP in Himachal.
Dhumal thanked the party chief for the central help for the development of Himachal Pradesh and discussed the need for policies, specifically suiting to the hill state with tough terrain. The former BJP CM Dhumal met Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening and took up various issues of state interest with him. He hailed Modi for restoring the special category status of Himachal Pradesh and the central help of Rs 50,000 crore for the new National highways and other schemes for Himachal Pradesh.
