Jammu: A landslide has hit Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan in Jammu and Kashmir. One constable of the CRPF has also been confirmed dead due to it. It is being reported that a rock slid its way near the gate number 3 of the premises. While many are feared to be trapped behind it, a rescue team has begun its operations. More details are awaited on the mishap.
Earlier this month, three pilgrims were killed and nine injured in a landslide triggered by heavy rains enroute to the cave shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district. The landslide occurred on Banganga-Ardhkuwari road around midnight and the debris fell on a shelter where the pilgrims were sitting, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Ajeet Sahu told PTI.
