Srinagar, June 12: A joint operation by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir police led to the arrest of two terrorists in Handwara district of the Valley, busting an active terror module of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. The security personnel had received specific information on the presence of terrorists in the area and they acted on it.According to the media reports, the security personal exactly knew through electronic surveillance and human networks that the terrorists were in the area. They also knew their exact location and strength. Armed with specific information, the swift action ensured that the terrorists were in Army net. This is a big success for the army as they could apprehend the militants. It will be strategically very important for them.The intel was developed by the police and passed on to the Army. They acted together to complete the operation. The arrested terrorists are being interrogated by the police to extract more information on their operations and plans.The Indian Army is currently facing a big influx of infiltrators, which is it handling efficiently. It recently said that it killed 40 militants this year trying to enter Indian borders. It said it foiled a whopping 40 attempts of infiltration. On Friday, the Army killed five heavily armed terrorists in Uri sector. On Thursday, three terrorists had been killed in Nougam sector.
