Indian railway plans Rs. 8 crore saloon for president of india.
The country’s next presidential election is yet to take place, but the railway has started the new saloon process with the cost of eight crore rupees for the new president’s journey.There is a special train for a President’s Tour or Travel which is called Saloon. All special and modern facilities are available in the salon. Railways will send this project to the new President in July for approval.Present salon is made up of 1956. From the first president of country, Dr. Rajendra Prasad to Dr. Radha krishanan and many other former presidents and total of 87 presidents has been travelled in this train. The last visitor of this salon was Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. He travelled in 2006. This year many boxes of this special train were announced unable commissioned by the Railways as per the operation.6 crore rupees were approved for new saloon in rail Budget of 2007-08.
