New chairman of Watford Borough Council, Jagtar Singh Dhindsa. Another Punjabi has shined on foreign soil, Councillor Jagtar Singh Dhindsa, who is currently living in England, has been elected as the Chairman of the Watford Borough Council, which is very proud moment for the Punjabis.He has replaced Councilor Darren Wolfford. Dhindsa has been a counselor for 18 years. They have chosen the Mancap and the Watford Food Bank for charity and they will spend the year at the office. They has started working from Wednesday.Dhindsa said, “I have grown up in Watford. I was ten years old when I came here in 1973 and now being the chairman is my good luck. Sikh prayer was done befor stating the annual council. His wife Rajinder Kaur Dhindsa was also present on the occasion. Dhindsa said that everyone is sad about the incident took place in Manchester on Monday night and he also appealed the people to be unite.He paid tribute to victims of Manchester incident for one minute in the office. Apart from this, the flag was flown half-tilted in the Town Hall on Tuesday, after the former Councilor Wolfford donated 4,172.33 British Pounds for ‘The Michael Graeme Diabetes Foundation’ and ‘The Watford Workshop’.
