Russian mother dies after falling into boiling caramel.
Tragic accident occured on October 20 in Stary Oskol, Belgorod region. A Russian woman was reportedly boiled alive in caramel when it gushed into a tank she was cleaning.
“When the investigators arrived at the scene, she was already dead,” a local investigation department spokeswoman, Elena Kozyreva, told Lenta.ru.Natalia Nemets, 36, was inside the mixer at the sweet factory in Stary Oskol, a town in Russia’s western Belgorod Oblast region, when the liquid started gushing in.
According to the sources, Co-workers were reportedly unable to help the mother-of-one after she fell into the container.”She did not cry, no other noise was heard. The caramel was removed from the giant bowl and only then was her body was taken out.One of the co-workers told ren.tv the 36-year-old victim left behind a son, diabetic husband and an elderly mother.
Management at Slavyanka confectionery plant at first sought to cover-up the accident, which happened on 20 October, according to local reports. The firm had threatened workers with the sack if they revealed details of the tragedy.However, details of the catastrophe began to leak out on social media, and the probe into the accident was later confirmed by the labour commission.
