Stanford engineers develop smart windows. Chandigarh: California researchers have created smart windows that will not let the sunshine enter through. So the home and office will cool quickly. It will save enough power.Electro-magnetic smart window has installed two glass plates. These transparent platelet sheets have filled with Conductive Tin Oxides. In the smart windows 80 percent of the sunlight pass, but copper oil and other metal tin oxides present in window for the solution and window gets blue-tinted colour, and only 5 percent lights pass through the window.According to Stanford professor Michael McGeehy, it takes only 20 minutes to turn smart windows into a black tint color. While it clears quickly in just 30 seconds. Smart windows are tested on the prototype of 25 square cm size.During the test, smart window technology was tested by 5000 times switch on and off and technique has worked correctly. McGeehy said that efforts are being made to make this technology better. Hopefully smart windows will be available in the near future.
