Ludhiana: As the festival of colours is almost around the corner and the perfect time to get drenched into the lovely colors. Many people feel that it the festival which brings the new colors in our life. Different states have their different ways of celebrating this festival of colours. The one thing that remains same is the traditional food prepared during its celebration.
No one can be spared by not eating this tempting and delicious food prepared to enjoy the it more. We Indians are already famous for our colourful festivals filled with colours and delicious food items. This festival is all about revelry, fun and mouth-watering delicacies. In fact, there are some dishes which are part of the celebrations since ages and are considered synonymous with the festival. Gujiya, Bhang Pakora, Bhang and many other dishes are the eatables which no one can take their eyes off while celebrating it. So, its the perfect time to throw yourself to the festive zeal with playful moments and adoring meals.
Gujia– This is the tempting sweet dish which is loved by all during the celebration. One can prepare it easily at home or can buy it from market. Today, different types of Gujia is also available like chocolate Gujia, coconut Gujia. Even the baked gujia is also there for the people who don’t want to have something oily. Present your gujias in a traditional way.
Malpuas– No doubt, this is all time Punjabis favourite finger licking sweet which they can never miss to eat. Paneer and Ragi Malpuas are the best traditional pick in sweet eatables.
Dahi Bhalla with Papri and Pani Poori
Both are the most tempting dishes when eaten with different chutneys(sauces). During Holi, Bhang Chutney is also prepared which can be eaten with this Dahi Bhalla Papri and pani poori gone are the days when was only loved by girls.
Thandai- As the summers are coming ,so, it the best thing to offer to your guests. It is the best to welcome your guests to aroma of this traditional blend. You can make it before, store and serve whenever you wish to like. Try making some different flavour thandai with kesar, badam and any other flavour you want to add.
Bhang Pakoras and Drink– Holi is incomplete without eating and drinking Bhaang. So, you can try the bhang pakoras in different style as well. And serve it with different varieties of chutneys(sauces) for new and different taste. And even serve Bhang drink in some traditional glasses to give it complete traditional feel while drinking.
