Ludhiana: Branding a product is mandatory, in this era, of course as anything and everything in the world bears its identity through a name, symbol or sign. Brand conscious people believe that by wearing a branded shoe or a suit, for instance, they will be accepted as trendy and up to-date. The fact is that brand consciousness has developed as a craze and way of depicting one status. The count of people badly inflicted by this disease is high. It is usually the college students and kids who are more affected and it is for them to see what is best for them; even though it may not be a branded one.
Mayank Sachdeva said,“I personally do believe that brand consciousness is fine, up to a point. There is a plimsoll line the mania for brands must not cross. This is the point beyond which brand craving must not go. A point beyond which it turns to be brand mania and madness rather than brand-rational purchase. Brands are good till you buy them out of volition and out of careful rational assessment balanced with a wee bit of the irrational push. The moment the irrational push tilts everything about this key brand purchase decision, it is time to sit up and smell the coffee. Unbranded, of course!
Kunal Mahajan said, “Wear the cloth for comfort not for show-off’. Being a fashion enthusiast, I personally believe this that clothes should be worn for considering comfort levels and not just for the show-off .A good pair of shoes, an extravagent gown and a velvet suit, all they need is a suitable body type on which it embrace. Moreover, adding brands in your wardrobe can make your wallets and clutches empty. So, run for comfort not for brands.”
Priyanka Kaushal said, “Styling is something which makes you feel confident and impressive.
I always prefer brands because they personally satisfy my need for latest fashion, I always want something which is unique and classic so my all time preference is Zara and Marks and Spencer. My personal suggestion is if someone wants to look glamorous and classic at the same time should go for Zara. I find Zara is quite affordable and the collection is always different, same goes for Marks and Spencer it is a brand which can make you fall for its collection in all the seasons.”
Anmoldeep Lamba said, “Happiness is a conscious choice, Not an automatic response” Its not about being brand conscious its about ones’ choice and preference. I like wearing brands for not to be pompous about myself its just the quality and designs that I get in brands. I don’t like to be into dime a dozen stuff. For me, its about the quantity and its always about the quality. Buy less, choose well, make it last.”
