The Great British Cheese Company has released a pink-coloured cheese flavoured with raspberry and Prosecco, an Italian white wine. Surrounded by a hot pink rind, a 200-gram truckle of the cheese costs £4.50 (nearly Rs 400). The UK-based company has said, “This cheese is a treat for anybody with a sweet tooth.”The pink-hued cheese can be bought as a 200g block for £4.50 from The Great British Cheese Company and is described as a “treat for anybody with a sweet tooth”.The website explains: “You’ve probably heard of the popular at Christmas classic, Wensleydale with Cranberries. “Wensleydale has a supple and crumbly texture and a milky freshness, paired with fruit such as Cranberries, the acidity cuts through rich cheese resulting in a balanced flavour.“Pairing Prosecco and Raspberry with Wensleydale produces similar savoury, sweet and acidic flavour combinations.” As well as Pink Prosecco cheese, the company also sells Sticky Toffee Tastic truckles, Peri Peri Cheddar and a Whiskey Mac flavour. It’s not the only Prosecco product to be launched in time for the festive period.
