It’s amazing how much one can achieve in just one second – as odd asit might sound but the most powerful stories are sometimes created in a second! Photography is one such art, which makes possible what looks to be a mammoth task to accomplish as it takes only one click for the shutter to capture finest moments of humankind. To keep the memories live forever, click as much as you can at every place you visit. Though don’t forget to indulge in the beauty the place you are visiting. It is always interesting and insightful to hear about the creative processes that are involved in capturing a brilliant picture. Mohit Kharbanda, as he like to say, a traveler first and then a photographer spoke candidly with us about his own journey and passion. Through sheer skills and talent in photography, he has amassed a solid fan base on social media. His success story negates the belief that becoming a good photographer presupposes any formal training as he started off with a simple 2 megapixel Nokia 6600 phone which was also the very first hand phone of his life.Sharing his recollections, he spoke about portals that were available at the time on which he would routinely upload his clicks. Gradually he started improving at his hobby and kept upgrading his phone to smoothen out his photography. It was later that he worked on his idea to narrate the story which was his motivation to click that particular photograph. It wouldn’t be erroneous to suggest that photographers are essentially story-tellers.Speaking of his approach to photography, he shared that he prefers taking a road trip and keeping a camera handy at all times because it would be a cardinal sin to ignore a muse when it occurs according to him. It’s interesting to note that he chooses to visit not the heritage sites of the places he goes to but explores the places people haven’t heard of. It’s perhaps his penchant for exploring the unexplored and weaving a story around it which has propelled him to gain about 60k followers on his Instagram handle – movingcompass.
