Patiala: National Theatre Arts Society (NTAS) organised their 185th Monthly Garden Theatre performance in cooperation with philanthropist Dr. S.P. Singh Oberoi (Dubai) Head Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust as “Social Awareness Theatre Festival” at Baradari Gardens here. Two hour “Punjabi Haas Raag Rang programme, produced by duo Pran Sabharwal –Sunita Sabharwal as inspired State’s prominent personalities including Gurtej Singh Dhillon Chairman Improvement Trust Patiala, noted Surgeon Dr. S.K.S. Marya, retired Professor of Surgery, Satish Garg M.D. Natioanl Agencies and Shyam Lal Navyug Chairman S.D. Kumar Sabha MD Hotel Flyover Classic got good response from the audience. Gurtej Singh Dhillon, in his inaugural message lauded NTAS’ “Public Awareness Theatre Campaign”.
He urged the people to follow messages of the plays for peaceful and successful living. He assured his patronage. Dr. S.K.S. Marya, urged the people to value laudable contribution of stage actors who dissolve themselves to shape the new character of the script. He lauded NTAS for preparing a nursery of the artists and stressed the need for repeat performances of the programme including “Eh Mera Punjabi Belio”, Sukki Kukh and I.C. Nanda’s Bebe Ram Bhajni, besides musicals and dances. The Ntasians honored the dignitaries, artists and guests including Taranjeet Singh Arneja and professor Darshan lal goyal and gave away cash award to 20 artists. Sabharwal expressed gratituted to the dignitaries and artists and associates like Dr. Rajinder Singh Garcha Dy. director, H.D.O Dr Simranjit Kaur department of horticulture, Harinder Singh Darsi Sabharwal, Chairman Khukhrain Biradari Welfare Association and Avinash Mehta of Patiala Shahi Lassi, D.S.P Vikas Sabharwal – Kumud Sabharwal for their help and guidance.
