A man and his much younger wife, whom he met when he hosted her as a foreign exchange student, are accused of luring the wife’s underage sister to live with them so the husband could sexually abuse her.Dale Leary, 50, and Marta San Jose, 21, are charged with convincing San Jose’s 14-year-old sister, who lived in Spain, to come stay with them in their Cutler Bay, Florida home in 2014, said Miami Dade police in a statement.Soon, the pair concocted a story that the teen’s parents had sexually abused her, which the teen protested she did not remember. Leary allegedly convinced her he could tell if she’d been sexually abused, and told the girl to allow him to digitally penetrate her. This allegedly happened on several occasions, and the married couple also had sex in front of the teen, gave her alcohol, and Leary would allegedly perform oral sex on the teen and have her and his young wife perform it on him.Leary is also accused of making the teen walk around naked in heels and taking pictures of her. They have both pleaded not guilty. Leary has a criminal history. At 19, he was convicted of breaking into a Coral Gables house, tying up a woman at gunpoint and sexually attacking her, reported the Miami Herald.Despite pleading guilty to armed robbery, armed burglary, kidnapping and lewd and lascivious behavior and served time in prison. In 2012, Leary and his then-wife, Claudia, opened their home to a foreign exchange student from Spain, Marta San Jose, who was then 16. At the time, she was a junior in high school. Almost as soon as she turned 18, Leary divorced his wife and married San Jose.Back in Spain, San Jose’s parents and her younger sister were unaware of this turn of events. A Prodigy employee told the Miami Herald that San Jose presented herself as an ‘intern’ at the company, and no one was aware she was Leary’s new wife or even that he’d gotten a divorce. The underage sister has been returned to Spain and her parents.
Leary appeared in court, where he was ordered to have no contact with San Jose or with her sister. The judge set a bond of $50,000 for each count.
