MLAs distribute free anti-pollution masks to residents
New Delhi – Shiromani Akali Dal BJP MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa, MLA Kapil Mishra and ex-Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely on Wednesday jointly distributed anti-pollution masks to the people free-of-cost. In a campaign at Central Park, Connaught Place they launched this initiative of offering these free masks to save the people of Delhi from severe air problem resulting in acute respiratory problems for the people. Talking to the media at the site, all these leaders said that they have joined hands for the betterment of people of Delhi and will work positively.They said that health of the people was above everything and all out efforts were needed to Save the same from this type of dangerous and inflammatory weather prevalent on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that it was shameful for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal that he was a full year on holiday and did nothing for making any plan to save Delhites from this type of dangerous, hazardous and perilous weather. He said that Delhites are frightened today because of repeat of such weather for second consecutive year.He said that had Kejriwal and his ministers worked for safeguarding the health of the people the situation in the National Capital would have been different. Sirsa said that it was utterly shameful for Health Minister Satyendra Jain that he not only failed to issue any public advisory on this matter but on Wednesday also has maintained a distance from the common people. He said that the Kejriwal government has no roadmap to save the people from such unhealthy weather conditions. He said that it was shameful that the Chief Minister Kejriwal instead of taking timely and preventive steps was now writing letters to the neighbouring Chief Ministers only to divert the attention of the people from his utter failure.He said that now he was claiming that Delhi government will use helicopters to shed water only because he knows that this responsibility cannot be completed by Delhi government and he can blame the Centre on this issue as well. The SAD leader further said that this situation of severe weather conditions due to failure of Kejriwal government has not only brought bad name for the country at international level but also resulted in huge revenue loss as several of the international delegations have cancelled their visit to the National Capital. Sirsa warned the Delhi government that if it fails to shed water on the roads in next 24 hours then the people of Delhi will be forced to take this work in their own hands and will deploy water tankers for doing this work on their own.
