Five party workers and four policemen were injured in a bomb attack on the rally of CPM activists in Kaivelikkal, located in Kannur district of Kerala.During giving the details of the incident, the police said that the bombs were thrown in the rally but CPM activists and policemen were injured due to stone pelting.
They said that the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital in Thalassery.The CPI(M) on Sunday took out a march at Kaivelikkal village in protest against destroying of campaign material the party had erected in connection with its local committee meeting.The CPI(M) alleged that RSS activists were behind the incident. The battle between BJP and CPM has been going on for past some days due to political clashes. Recently, the BJP completed its Kannur leg of the Janraksha Yatra. A large number of his supporters are seen to be carrying BJP flags and banners. During this time, Amit Shah also accompanied his supporters. The rally was also taken in new Delhi regarding protest against the killing workers.
