Bofors case may once again cause difficulties for the Congress. CBI has written a letter to Modi government on this matter and has said that they should think again on the 2005 decision and also give approval to fill a SLP (special permission petition) in Supreme Court.According to the news agency, the government officials have said that the letter has written to the DoPT (Department of Personnel and Training) by the CBI. In this, the investigating agency has said that they want to file a SLP against the Delhi High Court’s decision on 31 May 2005 in which, the orders was passed in Bofors case to repeal all charges against Hinduja brothers of Europe.However, legal experts believe that the CBI will have to give clarification to ignore this matter for more than 12 years. On October 18, the CBI had said that they would consider the facts and circumstances of the Bofors scam, according to claims of private detective Michael Harshaman. Harshman has claimed that the Rajiv Gandhi government was creating problem in his investigation.
