Due to the Supreme Court order prohibiting the sale of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR, hundreds of traders at crackers shops in Delhi’s largest wholesale market Sadar Bazar, said that they got the license to sell fire-crackers after the order of the Supreme Court. After which they had filled the shop with crackers for sale. But after the apex court’s new order, they would have to come on the road.The cracker traders association has filed a reconsideration petition in the Supreme Court regarding the ban on crackers, which will be heard on Friday. After getting the deal with several merchant associations, the Delhi-based cracker businessmen are protesting against the decision of supreme court. Sources say that these demonstrations can be near to the court. The business organization also got the support of political parties. Apart from the Aam Aadmi Party workers, now the business associations of BJP are in the favor crackers sellers.The Bombay High Court has banned the sale of firecrackers in the residential area. The court has ordered the administration to take action against those who sell crackers in the residential area.Harjit Singh Chhabra, owner of firecracker shop in Sadar Bazar, has sat on an indefinite hunger strike outside his shop. On the other hand, many shopkeepers protested by taking kerosene oil and threatened self-harm.
